About Elite Cheer

Elite Cheer is dedicated to training athletes of all ages and skill levels safely and effectively. Staffed with highly trained professionals, who enjoy creating a fun and safe environment for both male and female athletes, Elite Cheer gives their athletes the opportunity to grow in their skills and abilities.

Elite Cheer - Michigan is Michigan's 1st Cheerleading Training Facility and was established in 2001 Elite Cheer is privately owned by Lea LaGrou-Hébert. Lea has 13 years of cheerleading coaching experience. Lea travels the country instructing athletes at Cheer Camps, Choreography Camps. Lea is a speaker at many coaches' conferences and is a National certified judge. Lea has led her teams to over 100 National Championships and is featured every year in American Cheerleader "Who's Who". Lea was also nominated as coach of the year through The Coastal Corporation.

Elite Cheer was the 1st gym in Michigan and has taken many teams to the Cheerleading Worlds. Elite Cheer has had multiple teams make finals. Elite Cheer Michigan has been featured on MTV Made, and owner, Lea Hebert was chosen as the choreographer for the movie remake "Red Dawn"

Lea founded Elite Cheer in Michigan to enable youth the option to participate in the growing National Sport of Competitive Cheerleading and experience what it is like to learn in a facility designed specifically for cheerleading.

Combined with expert coaching, students are able to achieve higher levels of skill than what is possible in local school programs. In fact, Elite Cheer has gained such a well known reputable reputation for excellence not only in the country but locally as well. Local Recreational Cheer teams, Parks and Recreational programs and Jr. High and High School cheer teams take advantage of our squad training and camps to enable their athletes to accelerate their capabilities.

Elite Cheer students are required to conform to strict Ethics Codes that are designed to facilitate positive behavior inside and outside our facility. Our student are urged to represent their community proudly and most of all to work together and respect each other. Our athletes are continually reminded that it is important to push for individual excellence but it is most important to function successfully as a team.

Elite Cheer - Michigan Michigan cooperates regularly with Elite Cheer-Nebraska. Our collaborative efforts offer our students to the unparalleled opportunity to meet, compete, train, and become friends with others throughout the country with similar interests and goals.
